Everyone needs to master the skills of self rescue and risk avoidance in fires !
Fire safety is everyone's responsibility. Installing photoelectric smoke alarms in public places and homes can prevent fires from happening in advance, but we also have situations where we cannot respond in a timely manner. If a fire is raging, we must know how to save ourselves.
If you find a fire and remain calm, immediately call 119 fire alarm number to report it. When reporting the fire, you should specify the detailed address, location of the fire, and size of the fire.
When a fire strikes, it is important to quickly escape. Do not take elevators, safety exits, and stairs are the correct choices. Do not carry belongings to ensure personal safety. You can put on a bedding soaked in water, cover your mouth and nose with a damp towel, and quickly escape from the stairs from top to bottom.
If the fire is very fierce and it is impossible to escape from the stairwell, and the living floor is not high (below 3 floors), you can use the balcony, downspout, or bamboo pole of the house to escape. You can tear a rope or bed sheet into strips and connect them together, with one end tightly tied to a sturdy door and window frame or other heavy object, and then slide down the rope or cloth strip (this method is not suitable for higher living floors).
If all escape routes are cut off and you are in a higher building (above 3 floors), you should retreat to an indoor area where there is currently no fire, close the doors and windows, use wet bedding or towels to block the gaps between the doors, block the entry of harmful gases, or water the doors and windows to delay the spread of the fire; At the same time, small objects can be thrown outdoors, and at night, flashlights can be used to send out distress signals.
The above are self rescue and risk avoidance skills that everyone needs to master, and I hope everyone takes them seriously. In addition, installing a photoelectric smoke alarms are also essential, at least it can leave us more time for fire self rescue.
